Using Failure Analysis to Improve Equipment Service Life

Caldera and its customers want to understand equipment and component failures to extend service life. Caldera has the capacity to investigate various types of failures including erosion, corrosion, thermal shock, vibration, cavitation, and impact failures.

To determine modes of failure Caldera engineers use fractography, finite element analysis (FEA), computational fluid dynamics (CFD), fracture mechanics, laboratory scale testing, historical data, and other specialized techniques. These failure analysis lead to innovation in product design and performance.
