Slurry flows between letdown systems and vent flows with entrained solids can be highly erosive. By lining titanium or super duplex piping with monolithic ceramic cylinders, Caldera is able to significantly increase the life of the pipe. This increased life leads to fewer unplanned shutdowns.

Ceramic-lined piping can be engineered and designed as part of new plant construction, or Caldera can help an existing plant upgrade to ceramic-lined piping. When modifying an existing plant, Caldera works with the customer to decide whether all-new piping should be installed, or if the customer’s current piping can be fitted with ceramic inserts.
